ASTM A106 High Temperature Pipe

ASTM A-106 is the standard for carbon steel pipes designed for High- services.

It is most commonly used in refineries and plants to transport gasses and fluids at high temperature and high pressures.

This specification covers seamless carbon for high-temperature service in NPS 1/8 to 48 inclusive, with nominal wall thickness as given in ANSI B36.10, It shall be permissible to furnish pipe having other dimensions provided such pipe complies with all other requirement of this specification.

Pipe order under this specification shall be suitable for bending, flanging, and similar forming operations, and for welding. when the steel is to be welded, it is presupposed that a welding procedure suitable to grade of steel and intended use or service will be utilized.
